How dissolving bags work?
Put the non-plastic bag or carrier bag in the container, pour hot water of at least 85°C into it. Solubag is dissolved within five minutes.
Dissolve my bag in the rain?
To begin to dissolve the non-plastic bag or carrier bag, it is necessary to immerse them in hot water of at least 85°C. Clean water, especially rain or humid environments, will not harm non-plastic bags or carrier bags.
When I do not dissolve the bag, but throw it out, will it break down completely?
Yes, even if the bag is thrown into a mixed waste, the bag itself decomposes in about 180 days.
Will it dissolve in both saltwater and freshwater?
Yes, if its temperature reaches 85°C, it dissolves independently of the water type.
How best to dispose of a non-plastic bag or carrier bag?
You can pour hot water, which has been leftover after making a cup of tea or coffee, onto the NON-PLASTIC BAG you can put it in the dishwasher together with the dishes or in the washing machine if you wash at more than 85°C. It is recommended to dissolve the NON-PLASTIC CARRIER BAG separately in the container – it contains cotton thread that can cause problems in the machine or in the dishwasher.
Do not flush the non-plastic carrier bag or small bag into the toilet, wash-basin or other sinks where the water does not reach 85°C. In this case, the bag will not dissolve immediately, but the slow degradation process will begin and the pipes will become clogged. Always throwaway non-plastic products into mixed waste or dissolve in water of at least 85°C and pour the dissolved solution into the sink.
Can the dissolved bag clog pipes?
If the bag is dissolved at 85°C, the pipe does not clog and behaves exactly the same as any other liquid poured into the sink.
What if I accidentally drink a solution containing a dissolved non-plastic bag?
Only the carbon and a small amount of other, safe substances remain in the water after the bag has been dissolved. Don’t worry about your health. The inventors themselves drink dissolved bags during their presentations, showing their safety. All inventors enjoy good health.
Why do I need to have a non-plastic Solubag bag when bioplastics, compostable plastics and paper bags are on the market?
Most plastic substitutes either use at least a portion of the oil that blends with food or other agricultural products. The result is virtually the same devastation of natural resources and the same degradation problems as conventional plastics. Compostable plastics need a very specific compost environment, and if they do not (in terms of waste from landfill, the right conditions cannot occur), they do not decompose, but disintegrate, much like conventional plastics. A huge amount of energy, water and trees are needed to make paper bags. None of these alternatives are the solution.
Does carbon in the dissolved solution of the bag contribute to the greenhouse gases in the air?
You don’t have to worry. Decomposition of the polyvinyl alcohol CH2 -CH-OH produces water and carbon. Carbon is not gaseous (e.g. CO2) and does not enter the atmosphere as a greenhouse gas.
What is the load capacity of the non-plastic bags?
The same or greater load capacity as classic plastic bags and carrier bags. The robustness of the material from which the bags and carrier bags are made can be customized.
What are the non-plastic bags and carrier bags made of?
The raw material is formed from calcium carbide from which non-petroleum polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and natural gases are produced. A similar substance is used, for example, to coat vitamin tablets.
Does Solubag have any quality certificates?
We hold a worldwide Solubag patent and quality certificates, including the SGS Certificate and Biodegradability Certificate.
Are there other Solubag products planned?
Yes, the material is still evolving and working on improving. At this moment we can offer disposable clothing, garbage bags, disposable seat covers in public transport, gloves and overalls. For example, they work on toothbrushes, crates, food containers or disposable dishes in Chile.
Can I print a company logo on my bag?
You can, however, the current print has a few limitations – it can only be printed in pastel colors, which are environmentally friendly (the development of richer colors is in progress). Printing is to be ordered from us at Kyosun s.r.o. to ensure print quality and environmentally friendly colors.
Is a special machine needed to make non-plastic bags? And what happens to all plastic bag machines?
No special equipment is needed for the production of Solubag non-plastic bags and carrier bags – they can be manufactured in the same machines as existing flexible plastic films. Just clean the machine, set the temperature and replace the oil granules in existing machines with Solubag granules.
Can a bag be made exactly according to my requirements?
Yes, we can make bags of many different sizes, with different material thicknesses or different solubility temperatures.
Will there ever be products available other than translucent and white?
We are currently testing the coloring of the material to make colored bags. So far it is possible to make bags more semi-transparent and in pastel shades.
